WordPress migration to a modern, fast website

Your WordPress has become a patchwork of plugins: slow, insecure, and expensive to maintain. We migrate it to a modern foundation, keeping your content, URLs, and Google rankings.

This is for you if

  • Every plugin update is a risk of the website going down.
  • The website is slow even after installing a caching plugin.
  • You've had a hack, spam, or strange pages showing up on the website.
  • You pay for several plugins and a premium theme just to keep it running.
  • You need a new feature, and no one can build it without breaking everything else.

What we deliver

Complete inventory

Pages, posts, forms, plugins, and integrations documented before anything is touched.

Content migrated

Copy, images, blog, and pages moved to the new foundation, reviewed and organized.

URLs preserved

Same URLs or 301 redirects for every old URL, to keep your Google rankings and links.

Features rebuilt

What the plugins did becomes custom code, lighter and without third-party dependencies.

Editing dashboard

The blog and content remain editable in a simple dashboard, without WordPress's complexity.

Faster and more secure

No exposed PHP, no outdated plugins, and much lighter loading.

How it works

Usually 3 to 8 weeks, depending on the amount of content and features.

  1. 01

    Discovery

We map everything your WordPress does today, including what no one remembers it does.

  2. 02

    Migration plan

We define the new foundation, the URL map, and the switchover order, without stopping the business.

  3. 03

    Build and migration

We rebuild the website and its features and migrate the content.

  4. 04

    Switchover and monitoring

We switch with redirects in place and monitor Google and the forms over the following weeks.

In practice

GTSIM: from a plugin-heavy WordPress to its own back office

GTSIM's operation ran on messy WordPress screens, with several patched-together plugins doing what the business needed. Vollta moved everything to a custom platform: a back office for the GTSIM team, a dashboard for partners, and a customer area, with each partner also getting its own website.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose Google rankings when I leave WordPress?

Not when the migration preserves the URLs. Every old URL is kept or redirected with a 301, and we monitor Search Console after the switch.

Can I keep publishing on the blog?

Yes. The blog moves to its own simpler dashboard, with drafts, scheduling, and images.

What about the plugins I use today?

We evaluate each plugin: what's essential becomes a built-in feature of the website, and what isn't used is left behind.

Should I migrate or just optimize WordPress?

If the website is simple and works, sometimes optimizing is enough. If it depends on lots of plugins, goes down often, or needs to grow, migrating costs less in the medium term. We'll tell you honestly which case is yours.

Do you migrate WooCommerce?

Yes. Products, orders, and customers are moved carefully, and the checkout process is rebuilt to be simpler.
